Basic layout of design proces
at first i put to much effort into a small part of the main design
started to work on more important parts of the ship: it's main fuselage
starign to experiment with possible seperated design parts
throwing in design ideas
descision was made to have a simmetry of 4 instead of 3
here i am measuring the size of the magnetic launcher/lift with an in game model of the game to see if it would fit.
showing off the entire size of the "Main hangar/dock" of the ship
time to work towards a final front part of the ship
starting to work on specific details
almost finished

unfolding and folded
full overview of an almost finished design
placing the right parts in the right places
working on the frontal docking bays
it's cool, but un protected

unfolded
ofcourse the habitat where the crew and passengers live in is very importnat to be shown to.

I got a lof inspiration for the visual style of this ship from the fantastic art of Alex Matthew Figini.
Concept made by: Marnix Rekkers
Original concept/idea: Zach El-Hajj (technical-consultant) and David wessman
Art director: Remco vd Berg
Description of the ship can be found on the blueprint :)
This might not have been the most interesting type of design i have worked on so far, i do believe this has been the most fun.
I have put so much effort into research and playing with visuals with this design that it turned out even better then what Zach originally had envisioned.
this was a ton of fun, i hope that anyone who sees this project will enjoy it to :D
